Biography

Jan Utz joined the faculty of the Library and Information Science Program in 2005. She has been working for the Wayne State Library System in various capacities since 2003. From 2004 until 2007, Utz was a part of the team that pursued and attained full 10-year reaccreditation of the University. As a member of the Information Science faculty, she helped develop the Information Management Certificate program. In addition to teaching Information Science courses, Utz is also manager of the LIS Program technology, including the computers and the computer lab. She assists full-time and adjunct faculty with various technologies to present course content to students online.
